Gordon Rogers Architect INC AIA creates organic, contemporary residential architecture and his designs are extant in places as far flung as the isle of Trinidad, the deserts of Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico and the tall pine country of Utah and Michgian. A recipient of the Arizona American Institute of Architects Gold Medal for Design, Rogers has garnered many awards for his creations, including ten Arizona Homes of the Year.
In the west and southwest, lofty ceilings manifest the open feeling of space, wide expanses of glass capture sweeping vistas, and broad overhangs shield living spaces from the harsh summer sun, all of which create an environment that embraces the terrain and outdoor lifestyle of the Sonoran Desert.
In the tall pine country, spaces reflect the often wooded sites, frequently with skylights to bring light into interiors of this less than sunny region. Here, broad decks and screened porches reach out into the site to emphasize the indoor/outdoor feeling of space so prevalent in his houses.
In the Caribbean, the doors are flung to the side and the indoor/outdoor spaces become one. In all locations, sculptural spaces are constructed to meet each individual clients' needs and wishes.
